THE CHALLENGE

Burgo de Arias is the leading brand in the queso fresco category in Spain. Its 100% natural recipe, without food colouring or preservatives, makes its product the perfect ally in the kitchen, thanks to its versatile character and in line with healthy trends.

Always attentive to new possible lines of innovation, the brand recently decided to make the leap into a new category—queso fresco smoothie in which quark is becoming its star product, with a growth of +16% in the last three years.

From the graphic point of view we faced several challenges:

1. Maintaining brand visibility despite working with a format that is very different than usual and in another line type.

2. Building a new structure in their portfolio that communicates not only the product but also a happy and healthy lifestyle.

3. Highlighting the creaminess of the product in the packaging design: conveying its benefits and indicating serving suggestions in a minimal way.

4. And lastly, creating a design that would work in referencing both the Skyr and queso fresco smoothie, maintaining homogeneity and at the same time including elements that would help to differentiate it.

THE RESULT

A design that fully represents the essence of Burgo de Arias—the light and textured background helps to contextualize the product in a healthy environment, communicating lightness and freshness. The image highlights the main attribute of creaminess, the fonts express the balance between modernity, clarity and in general, we communicate the brand, health, flavour and positivity.

We use pastel tones to convey an extra lightness, purity and flavour on the packaging. Without giving up the clarity of the messages and the use of pictograms with direct and obvious fonts.

A design that responds to a more feminine style, in line with consumer trends and perfect for a public looking for a healthy ally in their daily diet. The challenge in this packaging? Giving the product meaning and value through a design that represents the values of the Burgo de Arias brand, in terms of quality and freshness.
