Gumendi is an organic product brand with a clear purpose: to be the link between people who are dedicated to food production and the shopper, providing value and quality.

The brand had become outdated over time and did not communicate Gumendi’s purpose and the richness of its products strongly enough.

We set several challenges and goals for ourselves:

1. Working on a new, more modern and striking brand for both the shopper and the Gumendi team.

2. Creating a packaging architecture capable of working for very different ranges and formats: from preserves to cereals to juices.

3. Communicating its essence through a packaging design that conveys naturalness and quality.

4. Guaranteeing a very high level of recognition among the different flavours, through the design.

5. Moving away from the stereotype that organic products must have designs that are too simple and that usually seem like little work has been put into them. We want to build a fresh, contemporary image that communicates the quality of the range.

BRANDING

A bold and brave brand restyling. We identify the elements with which to build continuity (the sun and the brand colour) in order to explore a bolder, more legible font that better identifies the brand’s purposes.

PACKAGING

It was important to reflect the care and attention that the brand brings to each of its products by creating a natural, fresh graphic, and especially as a brand anchored in the concept of “organic farming”. With this goal in mind, we used watercolour illustrations and fonts that are both friendly and approachable.

We adapted the packaging design to different formats and technical specifications, as in the case of biocompostable packaging—a material that requires a number and type of special inks to be respected.

A new architecture that also allows us to include more casual and youthful designs, as is the case of the Bio Zumers range: a brand of juices of organic origin in which illustrations play the main role in communicating joy and good vibes.
